The Law Firm FAVA & ASSOCIATI has assisted Riello S.p.A. in the sensitive closing of its own plant in Piombino Dese

Milan, July 31th, 2017 - The Law Firm FAVA & ASSOCIATI has assisted Riello S.p.A., the world's leading Italian brand in burner production and highly present on the European market of heating and cooling products and services, in the sensitive closing of its own plant in Piombino Dese (PD).

The historic plant of Piombino Dese, in which at the beginning of the procedure no. 72 employees were employed, was involved in a reorganization process that the Company was forced to implement in relation to the change in the reference market registered in recent years. In the abovementioned context, it was necessary to start a collective redundancy procedure for a part of workers employed at the plant. Instead, for the other part of workers, it was necessary to transfer them to other Group plants.

FAVA & ASSOCIATI’s team, consisting of the Name and Founding Partner Avv. Gabriele Fava and the Associate Emanuele Licciardi, provided RIELLO S.p.A. with legal support in relation to the complex procedure concluded with an agreement that guaranteed the respect of the interests of all parties involved. The Law Firm intervention has helped to reach an agreement with the unions, reducing the redundancies by the redeployment of part of the staff in other production units and managing the termination of the employment relationships of the remaining resources through voluntary exits.
